What a Potato Pancake is it without a Sour Cream “Rud’”?
The Third International Festival of potato pancakes was held on September 25 in ancient Korosten’ . TM "Rud’" was one of the sponsors and provided holidays with sour cream for festival potato pancakes. Each family of Polessie region loves potato pancakes and at least 20 different recipes of them are known: with meat and mushrooms, with fish, caviar, bacon, cheese ... And they taste the best with sour cream. So participation in this event was another step in implementing the strategy of promotion of "Rud’" dairy products in Zhytomyr region.
It should be noted that this year's Festival of potato pancakes was especially vivid. Potato pancakes, prepared by cooks from Ukraine, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Britain were served to the accompaniment of Ukrainian musicians. Generally, more than five thousand guests arrived in Korosten’ to taste potato pancakes. Some of them came to treat others: in particular, guests from Belarus, Israel and Poland. On the whole holiday guests were treated by nearly 60 teams of cooks frying potato pancakes just in front of the audience.
Potato pancakes were the main holiday hosts. There was a dazzling amount of them and they all were served with TM “Rud’” sour cream. But special attention was attracted by a giant potato pancake. It was made of 150 kilograms of potatoes. Potato pancake’s length was 2,5 m, width - 1,25 m and the weight of potato wafer, called the "biggest potato pancake in the world", was 136 kg. It took 1,5 hours to bake it.
The Festival of potato pancakes in Korosten’ was held for the third time and TM “Rud’" has become its constant active participant. We express our special thanks to "Alfa" Ltd. company and "Akris logistics" Ltd. company for their help in organizing marketing events.
