A war always starts unexpectedly, though, in one generation, it may seem inevitable for historians. In 1941 The Great Patriotic War was levied — it was the most terrible one, yet so close to everyone.

For the most of Ukrainian citizens, the Victory Day — is a pride holiday for our country and nation, rather than the day of sorrow.

For 1418 days and nights, the soviet people had been waging the bloody war against fascist aggressors and conquered them. The nation had defended its freedom and independence of native land, had saved the world civilization from the fascist enslavement.

For many years, the PSC “Zhytomir Dairy Factory” of TM “Rud” has had a tradition of celebration in honor of war veterans, who worked at the enterprise and now have a merited rest. The President of the company, Rud Petro Volodymyrovich, and the Chairman of Trade Committee, Nechayeva Lyubov Oleksiyivna, arrange the real celebration-reception for veterans each year. Veterans are apportioned pecuniary aid (this year it amounted 300 UAH per person), food ration and flowers, and, besides, they organize a festive meal so that they could socialize with each other, share their memories and happiness about Victory, remind military and post-war years, tell about their lives and present period. For us it may be just a history, but for veterans — it is a part of their life, memories that will always be remembered!
