On June 2—3, in the capital of Ukraine took place the Ice cream festival dedicated to the “World Child Protection Day” on Kreshchatik Street. Bessarabs’ka Square was equipped with a scene, where the guests of the festival were amused by child’s creative groups — winners of various international contests.

The grand opening of the holiday was carried out by the major of the capital, Leonyd Chernovets’kiy, and the president of the “Association of Producers of Ice Cream and Frozen Products”, Igor Bartkovs’kiy.

Addressing to the festival’s participants and guests, the major said: “I wish a successive start to our festival! Today’s happening — is a real holiday of childhood! More than 600,000 children live in Kiev. Every young citizen of the capital — is a kid, who claims care, protection, attention and love. This holiday — is the slightest part of things, we accomplish for them”. The Association of ice cream producers treated artist kids with frozen sweeties, as for the Kiev citizens, they could take a treat at producers’ prices.

Even Kreshchatik itself turned into a, so called, ice cream avenue.

An active part in the International Ice cream festival took TM “Rud” as well; for its activity it was awarded an apposite diploma. Every visitor of the festival could treat himself the “Ice Cream # 1”.

Besides, all guests of the festival received amazing souvenirs from TM “Rud” and had a possibility to take a picture with “Pustunchyk” elephants, who amused the visitors.

All, who were present — more than 50,000 visitors — had been observing scene performances of creative children with enthusiasm during two days. Contests, games and quizzes were organized for kids.

In the closing speech, the organizers of the festival gave thanks to all participants and visitors of the festival and bid farewell till the next year.
