Rainbow dessert
On the threshold of child’s birthday many moms are puzzled over with what dainties diversify children sweet table. This unusual and colorful dessert looks great in clear dessert bowls and can be not just a decoration of the holiday table but also be the spotlight for kids.
Sour cream rainbow will suit even the taste of kids, which feel cool to milk products. It is easy enough to prepare at home, while you pleasantly diversify your child ration with healthy and nutritious product. With a little imagination and patience you can make a very rainbow and bright dessert, especially if you combine the milk layers with fruit jelly.
Sour cream rainbow recipe
To prepare the 6-7 portions of colorful dessert you will need the following list of ingredients:
· Sour cream 15% – 1000 g;
· Milk – 2,5% – 200 g;
· Sugar – 100 g;
· Gelatin – 30-40 g (2 Tbsp)
To get a tasty and rich dessert, take milk products from «Rud» TMand natural colorants. Dunk gelatin in 100 g of cold milk and let it swell. Bring remaining milk to the boiling and melt down sugar in the milk, then add milk with swollen gelatin and stir thoroughly until gelatin is completely melted. If you wish, you can add a little vanillin. Slightly cool down the received milk-jelly mixture and mix it with the sour cream, then stir it thoroughly and divide into several parts for coloring.
To get multicolored sour cream rainbow you can use food colorants or natural juices. Cocoa gives to the sour cream light brown tone, it should be used in an amount of 2 Tbsp for 1 glass of jelly mixture. You can receive yellow color by adding a small amount of saffron. To get pink tone you can use berry or beet juice, juice of red cabbage gives blue color to the sour cream, and juice from spinach leaves gives green color. Freshly squeezed vegetable juices dilute with water in a ratio of 1:1 and bring to the boiling before use.
Multicolored parts of the dessert should be gradually joined in the pre-cooled forms. Each filled layer of sour cream rainbow should be kept in the refrigerator to freeze before adding the next portion of dessert to avoid mixing of colors. The top layer can be decorated with fresh berries or fruit.
Fruit and sour cream dessert
Fruit and sour cream jelly dessert recipe is no less interesting. To prepare it you will need:
· Sour cream 20% – 375 g;
· Gelatin – 15 g;
· Orange juice – 150 ml;
· Cherry juice – 150 ml;
· Kiwi juice – 150 ml;
· Sugar – 100 g.
Add sugar to the sour cream, put it on a slow fire, heat and stir until complete sugar melting. Remove it from fire and divide to 3 parts. Pour juices into separate containers, heat slightly and add 1 tsp of gelatin in each of them. Then stir it thoroughly to the complete gelatin melting. Add received fruit-jelly mixtures to prepared sour cream mixtures and stir to homogeneous state. Pour into molds one by one, let each layer to freeze in the refrigerator.
