— Laryso Mykolayivna, will you, please, tell us about your career?
— My career started at the Zhytomir Dairy Factory as a foreman of non-fat dried milk productions’ department, then I worked as a foreman of a butter department, as a chief of production, as a director of production. Since 2001, I had been managing development, introduction, functioning and improvement of the quality control system, which corresponds to the requests of NSSU ISO 9001, safety control systems of food products on the basis of a conception of hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) that corresponds to the requests of NSSU 4161 and NSSU ISO 22000:2007, environment control systems in accordance with the requirements of the state standard of Ukraine NSSU ISO14001:2006.

— You are working at this factory for many years. What has it given to you?
— The place, where a man was born and lives, plays important role for everybody. PSC “Zhytomir Dairy Factory” — is exactly such a place — it is an inimitable industry. For 22 years, which are integral part of my life, I treat it like something that is created by myself, as a coauthor. It is a part of my life.An industry gave me a lot. It is, such a necessary to every human, stability, and confidence in the future, and expansion of worldview, and professional development, because I entered a new kind of activity for me, which requires deep knowledge.
— Laryso Mykolayivna, why have you decided to work in the sphere of quality and safety of products, although long time before you had been working as a production worker and on production?
— It happened quite by chance. In 2001 in an assembly hall I listened to the lecture of Kabakov U. B. — a representative of the firm “Pryrost” (“Gain”) (Kiyv) who was invited on our factory as a consultant. Right at that time I realized that it is my business.
— How can you describe the operating system and how is it developing?
— The integrated control system — is a school of perfection. During its development, we do not just master new technologies, but — and it is significant too — we also analyze and evaluate our activity, examining it through European glasses, we acquire the European picture of how to be better, stronger, and how to win in a competitive market.
— Laryso Mykolayivna, we know that you make a lot of business trips on other industries in order to enrich the experience. What can you say about current innovations in the sphere of quality and safety of products? What is implemented on other industries?
— It happened that all my labor activity is carried on a single factory. Therefore, business trips to other industries such as: Korosten’ factory “Amber”, Kiev bakery plant # 10, the “Pagoto LTD” (Dnepropetrovsk), the firm “Panda” (Vinnitsa), PSC “Luben Dairy Factory”, “Starokonstantyniv Dairy Factory” of Khmelnitskyi region, “Sandora LTD” (Mykolayiv) as an outer quality system auditor that corresponds to the requests of NSSU ISO 9001, helps in mastering of the latest global experience of effective management, in the comprehensive analysis and estimation of self activity, in determination of the strong sides and directions of further perfection.
Since the very first day of international standards’ introduction on PSC “Zhytomir Dairy Factory” there has been working a competent, sincere and wonderful person Fedorenko Larysa Vytalyivna. She is a chief of department of quality and safety of products, and ecological management. Fedorenko L. V. is also an Expert of European fund of quality management on organizational perfection; she had evaluated such enterprises, as: Borivslkiy distillery of Ternopil’ region, Zalozetskyi distillery of Lviv region, Kiev factory of carbonic acid, PSC “Obolon” (Kyiv), Kryvorizhstal’ and other ones.
— And what is planned to implement on our enterprise in the future?
— In 2008 it is planned to implement the systems of safety control of food products on the basis of conception of hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) that corresponds to the requests of NSSU 4161 and NSSU ISO 22000:2007 of the ice cream production process.
— The number of inner auditors has increased on the factory, who have passed training and exams. Will you share your experience and tell us, why the inner audits take place at the factory, are they needed?
— The ability of staff recruitment, the fostering of professionals out of personnel is a sub-basis of all present and future achievements in the company “Rud”. Life proves that staff is the basis of any kind of business. There is a constant lack of money, yet, when you have lack of staff, everything comes to naught. Business requires ability to build such organizational structure, so that key courses were headed by enthusiasts, leaders who are able to take care of a strong team. Therefore, the choice of candidates to inner audits had been conducting, basing on two criteria: competence and individual desire.

This auditing defines whether:
- the goals of the integrated control system were achieved;
- the requirements of legislative acts are executed;
- the processes and methods, which are used, answer the needed management measures and whether they are consistent;
- the correcting and preventive actions are conducted.
During internal auditing, we, additionally, get the information about potential possibilities of integrated control system improvement, such as:
- determination of weak points;
- determination of problems of different areas of work’s connection;
- determination of possibilities for the processes’ improvement;
- determination of necessity in the personnel training.
In addition, internal verifications (audits) allow the enterprise to support the orientation of its activity to satisfy the customer’ demands and to prepare to the certification audit.
— Laryso Mykolayivna, you are the leader of top leadership, and, besides, are a loving mother and wife, and just a woman. What is the secret of Your success? Where do you get the energy and initiative?
— Exclusive people who work in the company “Rud” are decent, honest, hard-working, who always aspire to something new. They are just like inquisitive children, who are frank with the world and are aspired to the changes. When you communicate with such people you change also, you become like one of them, you start living in the same rhythm, in the same rate, and what is the most important, you realize how many areas are unknown. You want to learn, study, see and try something new. Such people excite inspiration to life and work in others. I am very glad that I was raised in this environment. I think when you calm down, and you want nothing, then, apparently, life ends. But when you strive for something better, it is the driving force of everything in life. This kind of personnel works in the company “Rud”. It stimulates, forces to keep yourself in tone, and, besides, to live a full life.
— What are the essentials of your life? What are the determining principles? And what is unacceptable in principle?
— These years, I have been working in the factory, became a period of deep self-examination and self-actualization. I came to a conclusion, that in the company “Rud”, in order to reach something, you have to be energetic, make quick decision and have strength to implement them practically. The company gives chance to unveil the potential of employees, only desire is needed to apply required efforts. In fact “Rud”, as the dynamically developing company, will not tow anybody. You must, at least, keep step with it and I never liked to finish last. Therefore in the company “Rud” there is a place for goal-seeking people, who press towards self-realization in life, as well as who want to go all out to achieve the goal.
— And, finally, what did you want to wish to all?
— I want to wish to the company and its employees to keep on and never stop. The most say that business is a bicycle: you cease pedals, then fell and have no chance to get up, because right behind you hundred of bicycles speed along. I really want us to remain people, unique, curious and determined, be in love with life, people, who want to experience and inspire others around you by your successes. And moreover stability, health, longevity and prosperity, peace and well-being!
