The fall comes with yellowed leaves, first, but not insistent, coolness and, certainly, the fall starts with First Bell holiday. The Knowledge day gathers all kids to school, who, on their turn, having fine rest and renewed strength, begin to learn. «Pustunchik» had been greeting for three days young Ukrainians in the capital of our country with this very holiday. Everything started on August 29, when «Pustunchik» welcomed all the citizens to Khreshchatik to taste cold dainties before school beginning. Along with tasting ice cream, children had a chance to purchase the most interesting books to school, which were sold in Ukrainian House nearby. Next day, when all Ice cream festival 2009 participants said goodbye to their small consumers, «Pustunchik» said «See you soon» to all. He knew that he meets his small friends again, but this time in Kyiv national zoo.

On September 1, most of Kyiv citizens and city guests were heading to the zoo after school, where «Pustunchik» greeted them with the Knowledge day. On the main square of the Kyiv zoo was placed a real town, where everyone had a possibility to taste ice cream and use the unique chance to make extraordinary hair dress for free. Besides, darts, body-art and break-dance master class awaited ice cream lovers. All of it was presented for a few ice cream packages. When «Pustuchik» had to leave, he promised to meet children the nearest time.

The first bell had rung off, children went to school, adults returned after vacations and seemed the fall has calmed everything down until spring.

But on September 19, everyone reminded that in Korosten, this very time, the international hash brown potato festival is taking place. Last year is still remembered by giant hash brown potato that was prepared by Korosten housewives. This year people came to the hash brown potato festival from all the places, TM «Rud» has also visited it. Who else, except «Zhytomir Butter Dairy» can dress crunchy hash brown potatoes with a real sour cream?! That day all were convinced of the «Rud» sour cream, the sour cream #1. Besides, after tasting hash brown potatoes, all regaled themselves with ice cream. This year, on the international hash brown potato festival opening, Volodymir Litvin - the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine – arrived. Disregarding his tough schedule, the honored guest gladly visited all festival celebration. This year the special appeal became the hash brown potato monument opening. Celebration lasted until midnight! All festival guests are hoping to meet in 2010.

The hash brown potato holiday in 2009 was tastier than in 2008, because hash brown potatoes were dressed with the sour cream #1 – the «Rud» sour cream!
