— Vadym Dmitrovich, will You, please, tell us the way You got in the “Rud” company?
— In 2000 I came at the enterprise on the position of the specialist on product market development methods. Till that time, I worked at PSC “Molochnik” on the position of raw material purchasing manager for 3 years.
— And what about Your career development in the company?
— First I worked as a specialist on product market development methods. Later I took up a post of the head of butter products’ sales department, and since January 1, 2007, I have been heading the newly formed subdivision — logistics department.
— Last year, You have headed the logistics department, till that time You had been holding the position of the head of sales department for a long time. Will You, please, tell us what has been changed since Your appointment? What kind of duties do You have now?
— My duties have really changed, the responsibility level has increased and I had to learn a lot, make self-training; due to our leadership I passed few logistics trainings, which have greatly helped me in work. In accordance with my duties, the number of employees, who are working under my supervision, has increased.
The key task of the newly formed subdivision — is a management organization and control of production movement in chain: production — distributor’s storehouse. It is very responsible work, because ice cream — is a peculiar product that needs special storage and transport conditions.
— Vadym Dmitrovich, I suppose most will agree that logistics — is one of the most important links of any enterprise, as well as of ours. Will You tell us the core principles of Your work with suppliers?
— The core principle — is an
— What do You think, what is the best approach to supplier, client?
— The key approach — is an organization of the best provision service with ice cream and frozen products to our consumers.
— One fact is unquestioning — problematic situations may arise in any work. How do You solve problems and conflicts?
— As I see it, problem solving — is an approach when you treat it as an ordinary work situation that has various solutions and you must choose the optimal one. I consider that I am not a conflict person and am absolutely sure that conflict may arise when two parties are involved, that is why this word is absent in my life!
— And what is the most important for You in Your work with subordinates? What kind of principles do You follow? What do You suppose to be more efficient: “stick” or “carrot”?
— My management style is democratic. On the first stage I place understanding of work and task that person is performing. In order to create a team, I think that “interchangeability” principle of people in a collective is vital, so that they could understand each other’s work to reach greatest result in team and individually. Also, such notions as mutual understanding and mutual respect are important. We all are living people, we can have different situations, as for the leader, he must wisely treat all of his subordinates and understand their hardships.
— Vadym Dmitrovich, will You, please, tell us, what kind of innovations are introduced at the enterprise today and what is planned for the nearest future?
— The construction of the new storehouse of finished products will be finished soon. Today, we develop and schedule interaction plan of all enterprise structures. We carry on negotiations on purchasing and implementation of WMS Pro system that will integrate management of finished production movement from producer to final consumer. All the time we are working over the perfection of our transport routes, effective planning and carrying out loading-discharging work; planning production in close cooperation with marketing department.
— Vadym Dmitrovich, what are the key concepts and priorities in Your life?
— I suppose that for any person family and work are the core priorities. The person is self-actualized both in one sphere and another. I think that you must come to work with delight in the morning, and return to family with happiness in the evening.
— And finally, what would You like to wish to everyone at the doorstep of the hottest season of the year?
— Summer — is a nice and warm season of the year. I would like to wish fundamentally strong health, success, realization of all beginnings and plans, as well as welfare in families and love!
