On March 31, 2009 started competition of the VII international boxing tournament among cadets of “Carpathian Cup — 2009” in resort city Morshin (Lviv region). This time, more than 100 sportsmen took part in the tournament, among them were both titled youth — World, Europe and Asia champions, and cadets (in professional boxing — youth group sportsmen) from Turkmenistan, Moldova, Germany, Israel and all regions of Ukraine.

“Carpathian Cup” — is a single certified international competition in Ukraine on training of 16-17-year old youth that will appear on “adult ring” the nearest time and will get victories in struggle for Ukrainian sport.

Understanding the need of talented youth promotion, TM “Rud” could not stand aside. That is why PSC “Zhytomir Butter-Dairy” became the general sponsor of “Carpathian Cup — 2009”, granting the chance to hold the tournament in 2009. According to organizers, the most part of constant competition partners refused to support youth sport this year, referencing to difficulties. Therefore the organizers of “Carpathian Cup — 2009” expressed sincere thanks to TM “Rud” and hope for future support.

In current tournament Ukrainians has shown worthy result, winning “gold” in the team event. Winners were included in combined Ukrainian team that will uphold the honor of the country on world championship. TM “Rud” greets the winners and wishes them further Olympic successes.

“Humoryna — 2009” took place this very week, on April 1, in the capital of humor — Odesa. In view of all-national arrangement scale, TM “Rud” has decided to joke along with fellow Ukrainians.

Those, who have never visited Odesa on April 1, suppose that Humoryna is just a city activity that is organized by Odesa citizens for Odesa citizens. But is not far not so. Since 6 a.m.  the Derybasivska Street is crowding with people, who have just got off the train and are ready for joking and celebration. People are getting more and more each hour. Till 11 a.m.  people crowd the Derybasivska Street and impede the way. Almost all newcomers wear colored wigs, funny ears, moustaches with nose, T-shirts with various jokes. As for those, who have prepared attires beforehand, they had been shocking people by similarity with heroes of movies and cartoons: Captain Jack Sparrow, Black Beard, Sonya — the fisherman’s wife, Shrek and Princess Fiona, Ellochka — ogre, children of Lieutenant Schmidt. It is hard to name them all.

At noon starts the first parade that goes from the Main Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Odesa region up to the Shevchenko Park. It is formed exclusively of law and order officers. This year all order guards had been wearing the costumes from “Liquidation” movie, which were presented by Odesa film studio that shot this film. As for the park — policemen of all positions and ranks did what they ought to do daily — got, but not into prison, they got trees into soil — demonstrating that planting is much more pleasant.

But the main celebration started only at 4 p.m.  from humor parade. Without TM “Rud” visitors could get bored. Huge stage (as far as the Derybasivska Street allowed) opened at 11 a.m.  Various contests, balloons from TM “Rud”, funny prizes, amusing body-arts on children’s’ cheeks and lots of ice cream.

This very day Petro Poroshenko, accompanied by the Odesa mayor — Eduard Gurvitsa, had visited our stage, while walking round the places of Humoryna celebration.

And, finally, at 4 p.m.  we finished the contest program from TM “Rud”, because parade has been passing our stage. Platform, which rode parade this year, were mostly dedicated to country difficulties, currency deficit and so on. The main slogan of the parade “The art to stay alive belongs to people” was worth to note! Yet the ballyhoo and applause was awarded the evacuator with city traffic police car on the board. Besides, during the parade rode: zaporozhets, decorated with slogan — “Buy Ukrainian — avoid crisis”, famous Odesa masters of humor from “Mask-show” team and the whole cast of famous Odesa quarter: Yasha and Sima, Semen Abramovich and others.

At the end of the program, Humoryna visitors have expressed their desire to meet TM “Rud” on April 1, 2010 celebration. Hope, we will surely meet.
