Соблюдение стандартов ISO — гарантия стабильно высокого качества продукции

The strategic goal of the “Rud” company — is to take exclusively leading positions on the ice cream market, therefore, the key task of 2008 became the correspondence confirmation with requirements of international standard ISO 22000:2005, which is based on the “HACCP” principles. Literally, from English translation HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) — it is the analysis of risks and critical points of control.

The international standard ISO 22000:2005 determined the requirements to the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), which covers the whole production chain — from raw materials’ delivery and storage, production of final products at technological lines, their storing up to the sales of products to the consumer, including food safety risk control at all stages of given process. The food products’ safety — is a guarantee that the given product will not harm consumer’s health in its appropriate use. During elaboration and introduction of the Food Safety Management System, in April 2007 the “Rud” company has given the leading specialists (of safety group) the task to carry out the detailed analysis of risks that may arise at different levels of ice cream production. As a result, there were analyzed and defined the potential spheres of emerging dangerous factors and elaborated the complex of activities, whose implementation would lead to decrease the risks’ emergence of every defined dangerous factor to the acceptable level.

It is worth to mention that practical elaboration of Food Safety Management System required:

  • training among factory’s workers on basics of standard ISO 22000:2005, instruction of every worker as to the FSMS actions and emphasis on personal responsibility for production process’ safety;
  • elaboration, introduction of FSMS documentation and its integration to existing one;
  • capital investment in reconstruction of working area of section # 4 of ice cream production department, supplying with auxiliary equipment to carry out additional requirements as to personal hygiene and sanitation of production, and also as to avoidance of the fall of foreign objects into ice cream and its pollution with chemical and biological contaminants.

Only after the specialists of the “Rud” company made certain that the risks of emerging dangerous factors are manageable, it was decided to invite independent and competent auditor. As an auditor, for existing at PSC “Zhytomir Dairy Factory” Food Safety Management System and Quality Control System, stood certifying agency IQC (Interindustrial Quality Center) “Pryrost” (Accretion) Co Ltd. from Kyiv, which is accredited by the German organization DQS.

On March 25—27 the external audit took place at almost all subdivisions of the “Rud” company as to correspondence with requirements of international standards ISO 22000:2005 and ISO 9001:2000. During the final counsel auditors have noted that Europeans, evaluating the food products’ quality, put the 100 percent guarantee of safety at the first place, instead of taste values. Such warranty of ice cream safety was approved in section #4 of ice cream production department (the head of the department — Konchakivska N. O.) The auditors mentioned the perfect work and high qualification of the leaders of integrated management system process Zhygadlo L. M., Fedorenko L. V., Volovodovskoyi M. M., Sukhovetskogo O. L., Mazurenko V. A., Moshkivskoyi N. V., Korniychuka O. M., Nechayevoyi L. O., Yurkivskoyi L. Y., Ibleminovoyi O. P., Solonoyi G. P., Metelskoyi O. Y., Lavrynenko N. G.; the heads of departments Sitnik Y. O., Khomenko V. V., managers of departments Gonchar O. P., Kolinchuka V. D., Moshkivskoyi M. P., Nemeritskogo O. L., Bakuna G. P., Gavrylyuk T. V., Peregudy A. A., and many others. They also were pleased by the keeping of safety requirements in economy of Borushkivtsy village. This first link in safety of food chain is controlled by Didyk F. G., Kotvitska V. M.

Today, working at 39 critical management points (microbiological analyses, washouts, temperature control, ingredients quantity control and so on) every day and every hour, we can claim exactly that the ice cream produced at line straight-line 800 is absolutely safe for consumers.

Basing on the results of certifying and recertifying audits, which were carried out in subdivisions of the “Rud” company, the certifying agency IQC “Pryrost” Co Ltd. is preparing documents, so that in April 2008 PSC “Zhytomir Dairy Factory” could be awarded certificates of conformance to the requirements of international standards ISO 22000:2005 and ISO 9001:2000.

The presence of Conformance Certificate to the requirements of international standard ISO 22000:2005, confers the “Rud” company a number of additional preferences and allows guarantee the stable high quality of ice cream to consumers. The certificate also gives additional possibilities to ice cream export, raises confidence of foreign partners.
